REVIEWS FOR BUILDING BLOCKS FOR PERFORMANCE
"One of my tried and true recommended titles. . ."
– Stephanie Horan, Dog World
“Focuses on competitive training but also contains wisdom for anyone who wants a great relationship with a puppy.”
– Deborah Wood
”This new edition includes helpful sidebars and illustrative photographs that will appeal to all levels of dog trainer. In addition to step-by-step training methods, the authors address the impact of genetics, breed-specific characteristics, drive and the handler-dog relationship, all with the resounding message – make it fun.”
– AKC Family Dog magazine
“While retaining all of the excellent material from the first edition, there are now expanded sections, new additions and a few extras . . . more discussion about what makes your puppy who he is. Understanding what makes your pup tick will help you to tailor your training games to take advantage of his specific traits and avoid some of the less desirable ones. An added bonus to the new edition are the examples of stumbling blocks handlers run into during training, followed by discussion of what the authors would do in those situations. Of course at the core of this book and the authors’ training philosophy, is that building a solid relationship with your dog based on respect is the key to success. The book continues to be a staple of any dog library."
